How to set up Fyle, run AI agents on your files, and review what they change.
- Getting startedFrom a new account to your files in Finder or ~/Fyle, then an AI agent working on them with every change reviewable. Takes about ten minutes.
- DesktopFyle puts your workspaces in Finder on a Mac and under ~/Fyle on Linux. Files download when you open them and every save becomes a new version. Windows is in development.
- AgentsAny agent works in a Fyle folder like any program. Run it through `fyle agent` and its changes are recorded in a session, attributed to it, and land when it finishes: clean changes apply, the rest wait for review.
- MCPConnect Claude, Cursor or any MCP client to Fyle with `fyle mcp`. Each agent gets an agent grant: one workspace, the paths it may touch, read or write, and an expiry. It never gets your sign-in.
- ReviewsWhen a change can't land on its own, Fyle keeps it as a branch and a person decides: keep the current version, take the change, or keep both. Rules decide who reviews what.
- Command lineThe `fyle` command: sign in, copy files, see versions, review changes, run agents and serve MCP. Every command takes `--json` for scripts and agents.
- FAQShort answers about storage, versions, agents, security and plans.
