Getting started
From a new account to your files in Finder or ~/Fyle, then an AI agent working on them with every change reviewable. Takes about ten minutes.

How Fyle works
Fyle is a cloud drive. Your files live in workspaces: file trees you mount on your computers and share with your organisation. On a Mac each workspace is a location in Finder; on Linux it's a folder under ~/Fyle. Files show their full size but take no space until you open them.
AI agents work on the same files as people. When a change would overwrite work someone else did meanwhile, or an agent edits a file a person owns, Fyle keeps the change as a branch for a person to review instead of overwriting anything.
Set up
- Step 1: 1Create your accountSign up at fyle.sh. You get a personal organisation; create a team organisation later from the organisation menu.
- Step 2: 2Create a workspaceDashboard → Workspaces → New workspace. You can upload files from the browser straight away.
- Step 3: 3Install Fyle on your computerDashboard → Overview → Install Fyle on a computer shows the steps for your system, and notices when your computer signs in. See Desktop.
- Step 4: 4Open your filesUse the workspace like any folder. Every app works with it; saves upload in the background and every version is kept.
- Step 5: 5Run an agentIn the workspace folder, run
fyle agent claude(or any command). See Agents. Remote agents connect through MCP.
