Fyle for homeYour documents and photos on every computer, with AI help you can undo

Household paperwork, photos and projects end up spread across laptops and old drives. Fyle is a cloud drive that appears as an ordinary folder on your computer, where an AI assistant can help sort things out and anything it changes can be undone.

Letting AI tidy your files feels risky

AI assistants can rename scans, sort photos and pull out the documents you need for a form. Most people stop short of letting one loose on their files, because there is no easy way to see or reverse what it did.

How Fyle fits

Fyle is in development. This is what exists today and what is planned, marked on every line.

Available now

  • Two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app, which an organisation can require for everyone.Available now

Planned

  • An ordinary folder in Finder or File Explorer; files download when you open them, so a small laptop can see everything.Planned: desktop launch
  • Run an assistant in its own session and see a summary of what it changed when it finishes.Planned: agent layer
  • Every version is kept and can be restored.Planned: desktop launch
  • Personal plan for one person with 1 TB included.Draft, not on sale

An agent at work

The assistant reads each scan, renames it and files it by year. Renames and moves don’t change the files themselves, and every earlier name and location stays in the history.

$ cd ~/Fyle/home/paperwork
$ fyle agent claude --task "Rename the scanned letters by date and sender and put them in folders by year"

Session ended · 2 changes
scans/ (84 files renamed and filed) modified
  scans/index.md new
All changes landed. Every earlier version can still be restored.

Your privacy

  • An assistant only reaches the folders you give it, for as long as the session runs (planned).
  • Two-factor sign-in protects your account; it is available now.
  • Fyle is built by a UK company. The Personal plan is for one person; sharing with family members is not described yet.

Not legal advice. Fyle features mentioned here are planned unless marked available now.

Try Fyle when the drive is ready.
